Hye there! I am back again with another beauty product! This time I will be reviewing Physicians Formula Summer Shimmer Strips Nude Collection and a few other make-up products.
I am thankful for being invited to their pre-launch workshop two weeks back, as I got to learn really cool tricks from the make-up artist as well as meeting up with my blogger friends.
Really cool PH Match Maker they have! It lights up with a click of a button!
The event kicked off with demonstration by the make-up artist (MUA) and one of the model is a friend I have known for some time now.
For her, the make-up artist was demonstrating the natural/nude look. More like how Asians like Koreans would do their make-up.
For the second model, the MUA showed how to achieve the western look, where they use more shading and contouring to bring out the features.
Both of them only had half their face done, but not sure if you can see it clearly.
After seeing them, it definitely made my hands itching to try them out myself! These are the products that I will be reviewing with you today.
First of let's start with the base, Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Foundation!
Personally, I find that it does a better job at covering my flaws than my previous foundation, however it is too light for my tan skin and sadly it makes my face oil up by half of the day. I guess this foundation doesn't suit my face type. So, my rating for this product will be 4/10, since the only plus point of this product is that it does leave your face spotless at is highlights.
Here's a short clip of me applying the foundation :
Next in line is their summer shimmery goodness, Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes!
This pocket-size make-up is a must have for you! Not only it can be used as an eye shadow palette, you can also use it for shading and contouring your face! Handy isn't it? How to use it for shading? Here's a short clip to demonstrate it :
I love how convenient this product is, it really helps a lot with highlighting! However, I don't think it was noticeable because of the very light foundation on my face. For this round, I didn't use it as my eyeshadow because I will be doing a demo with another product. My rating for this product : 7/10
Which brings me to my next product, Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Warm Nude Shadow and Liner Nude Collection!
I used the two colours that I have indicated in the picture below. A for the inner of the eyelid and B for the outer part.
The colour came out very well pigmented didn't it? I am loving it! It doesn't necessarily shimmer excessively, but just enough to make the eyes pop! If you are going for a more shimmery look then you might want to apply more layers of it. For me, I rather not use their brush and just apply the eyeshadow with my own fingers as I find the brush hard and difficult to pick up the colours. My rating for this product would be 8/10!
My last product review for today would be the Physician Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eye Liner Trio!
For this time, I used the Brown Eyeliner as I wanted to go for something more natural looking.
This is how vibrant the colour gets after 4 times running over the same line. Not bad right?
This is actually my first time using a brown eyeliner, there's a high chance that I might change my make-up routine using this eyeliner instead as it gives me the effortless look. I am loving it! My rate for this product would be 8/10. It is quite flimsy so do be careful when you are popping open the cover!
