Unboxing Part 10: Trying Out Mamonde

Hye there!

It's time to get back to the unboxing session of The Butterfly Project's 4th Birthday Celebration. Today, I will be introducing a brand that many Malaysians were extremely excited about when it first touch down in Malaysian stores, Mamonde.

As far as I remember it was a big hype last year and beauty bloggers just couldn't stop raving about it.

Well, it's my turn now to try out two of Mamonde's product. First is the Mamonde Floral Hydro Mist, which helps to keep your skin hydrated.

I was actually pretty worried at the first pump because I thought it wasn't working. But after I tried pumping 2-3 times then only I realised it's literally Mist that comes out.

Confused? Let me try to explain this, you know how most facial mists actually 'behaves' as a water sprinkler instead of really 'misting' up your face? Well, yea...Mamonde's mist literally pumps misty goodness. Get it now? If not..let me just show you what I mean...

See the mist sticking on my face 'fur'? Lol...that's what I am talking about.

I like the scent and I think it's a decent mist. I am not sure why, but after it has 'soaked' into my skin, I can still feel its presence and I am not sure if I like the 'heaviness' of this mist.

It's not necessarily bugging me but I do wish that I don't have this sense of 'heaviness'. Kind of on the border for this one. What do you think? Have you tried it before? Does it also feel this way for you?

Anyways, moving on to the Mamonde Long Lasting Liquid Eyeliner. I am not sure if it's just my hand that is not used to applying liquid liner or this liquid liner is quite hard to draw with.

I did a swatch and it looks fine on my hand, but when I tried to draw, it came out a little zig-zag-ish. And this is like with only one-time application/run.

With one stroke, it's thicker than usual, so trying to achieve the natural look with this liquid liner is going to be a bit tough. Probably, you could do a better job than me, who knows it could just be my hands.

Oh! Though it's really pigmented, it doesn't last as long as it claims because I did try to rub off the swatch and it came off without much effort. So, if you are planning to dive in the pool or have the tendency of rubbing your eyes, this is not the eyeliner that I would recommend.

So I guess, that's all for my review for Mamonde...hmmmm...I wonder how are the other products from this line. Any comments?

Till the next post, see you!

Sincerely,
Absolute Yana

  4. Ohh, I've heard of this brand but I haven't actually tried this. The mist texture might come in handy in colder countries where you need more hydration, perhaps!

  10. That eyeliner do turn out really intense despite it's not a smooth application as per your review. Maybe it's for a more dramatic look?

  15. If the Mamonde mist is quite heavy, then this could be nice during bedtime. I like a lighter mist especially in the morning use.
