Hye there!
I am back! It's been quiet for too long, wouldn't you think so? My sincere apologies, for that.
So today, I will be introducing to you Neutrogena's best cleansers, each with its own targetted functions!
Before I start, let me explain the first 2 main criteria that I will be looking at:
1) How well does the product function as a makeup remover?
2) How well does the product brightens and softens my skin?
Let me put a disclaimer first ya, only 1 out of the 3 Neutrogena products is actually meant for removing makeup but since I am the kind of girl who tends to get too tired and lazy to remove my makeup separately, I will usually opt for a cleanser that cleans off everything, hence why I decided to test all of them out as a makeup remover.
So the first up for the challenge is the Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil To Foam Cleanser (yes, I know it's a mouthful). I find it very interesting and amusing (lols, I am easily entertained) when the oil changes to foam as I massage the product onto my skin.
When it is in its oil form, it helps to remove the makeup just like any other makeup wipes would, and when it changes to foam the cleansing part, begins.
I would say two pumps is all you need to get rid of all the makeup residue and dirt off your face. And it really does brighten up and soften the skin. I would say among the three products, I am loving this fragrance the most.
All in all, it's a pretty worthy product especially if you are into the whole 2-in-1 concept.
Next up, is the Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Foaming Cleanser...and I must admit that I am least fond of this product as besides brightening it doesn't really do much of anything else.
In comparison to the oil to foam cleanser, it certainly does leaves my skin more radiant, however, it does not clear up the makeup at all and even my foundation was still on my skin. So, for me as a cleanser, I would say it's a No-No. The whole point of a cleanser is to remove dirt and excess oil from the face, so if it can't clean my foundation well enough, I highly doubt it will cleanse properly.
Oh! And if you are having acne problems, do try to stay away from brightening products as it will only make your pimples pop out more.
Anyways, moving on to the third contender is the Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub. This is by far my favourite cleanser from Neutrogena!
It's probably a 'me' thing, but I really love daily scrubs because I have a very uneven skin texture - blackheads, whiteheads and large pores. With daily scrubs, I feel that my skin tends to be more evened out and smoother. I don't feel the little bumps on my skin when I use them.
Previously, I used the Proactive cleanser which had the 'scrub beads' in it and it really helped to improve my skin condition, however, after the whole 180 degrees hormonal change back in January (2017), even that doesn't work on me now.
And one of the other reasons why I am loving the Neutrogena's daily scrub is because not only it helps to smoothen my skin, it also helps to lighten my skin tone. As a bonus, it actually even removes all my makeup faster than the oil to foam cleanser. So hands down, my favourite cleanser from Neutrogena is the Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub!
Oh, before I forget to mention this, if you too choose to use the daily scrub from Neutrogena (or any other cleansing range), do make sure that you have a moisturiser that will help to hydrate back your skin cells because it does strip quite a bit of natural oil from your skin.
Here's a quick video demonstrating each products' capability!
Do let me know which is your favourite cleanser in the comment box below.
Till the next post, see you!
Sincerely,
Sincerely,

ReplyDeleteHahhahah...okay I am laughing at the expired liao..but in all seriousness, if you do get breakouts after scrubs, means scrubs isn't meant for your skin type..probably cause it's stripping way too much oil from your skin...
